SPECIALISTS IN PROTECTED SPECIES

Research & Expert Advice

We are fully licensed to undertake all aspects of bat research and have extensive experience of using techniques such as radio-tracking and ringing. We are able to offer a research service from presence/absence surveys or monitoring of elusive/difficult species to hypothesis testing and gathering supporting information for appropriate assessments (under the Habitats Regulations) and EIAs.

Research requirements are often complex and can only be undertaken by people with specialist knowledge or experience. We are therefore happy to discuss your requirements in detail with you.

Ian acts as an expert witness in planning inquiries and criminal cases relating to protected species and can offer expert advice on protected species for a range of situations. Clients have also benefited from our independent quality assurance of ecological reports and advice.
